VirtualPBX now offers two different options for it’s customers when purchasing a Virtual Phone System. As always they still offer their usage based plans, but now VirtualPBX also offers Flat-Rate plans that integrate VoIP phones, local & toll free phone numbers, and free long distance all in one cost effective package.
Flat Rate Plans:
VirtualPBX’s Flat Rate Plans are similar to the RingCentral Office plans. They offer "unlimited" local/long distance minutes, with a fair usage policy which we will get to in a minute, the ability to purchase VoIP phones, 1,000 toll free minutes per month (after which you are billed 3.9¢/minute), 1 extension per user, 100 min/mo/user conferencing, and a 30 day money back guarantee. Their pricing is a bit cheaper than RingCentral’s.
Compared to RingCentral, their fair usage policy is very straight forward and provides for 5,000 minutes of inbound minutes per extension, aggregated at the account level. On a 5-user plan this would be 25,000 minutes – that’s a very generous plan. Most VoIP vendors are going to have some kind of fair usage policy in place if they are offering any kind of “unlimited” calling plan – check their terms of service for the details. Keep in mind that these plans are intended to be used for “normal business usage” and not for call center, help desk, or telemarketing type applications.
- 1-User: $39.99/mo
- 4-User: $23.99/mo/ext
- 10-User: $21.99/mo/ext
- 20+User: $19.99/mo/ext
- Extra Extensions: $24.99/mo
Virtual PBX now supports hardware VoIP phones connected to the service. With this, Virtual PBX now controls the phone call from the inbound phone number ALL the way down to the phone on the desktop. The best part is that you don’t have to purchase a flat-rate plan to utilize the VoIP business class phones. With VirtualPBX they allow you to purchase and utilize the VoIP phones with the usage based plans as well! So you can pick the plan that works best for you and your business.
Virtual PBX sells the following phones that arrive pre-configured and ready for use:
- Polycom SoundPoint IP 321: $99.99 (single ethernet port)
- Polycom SoundPoint IP 335: $139.99 (ethernet pass-through port; backlit display)
- Polycom SoundStation IP 5000: $599.99 (conference phone)
